Dear manager

I have been working with the organization as a engineering professional for two years and I have contributed a lots of values to the company through my emotional intelligence. I have been working hard in anticipation for such an opportunity, and I am ready for this next challenge. I also believe that I have had enough success in my current position to be considered for a promotion.

I have demonstrated my Self awareness by gaining the deep respect of team members to consistently delivering measurable business results. Furthermore, i was finding the learning moments as I believe that we learn a lot from the people we work with.

Secondly, I could demonstrate high level of  Self-regulation by self-monitoring my behaviors, I used to adopt my behavior according to the organization’s environment, therefore I t would be easy to move with the changing environment.

Moreover, i could understand the importance of Empathy, the ability to understand and share the feelings of others. as we are working in a multicultural environment, I had the chance to meet people from different background in our organization, and listening to them made me a good manager.

Although I am proud of the achievements listed above, I also know that I am part of a team, and I am thankful to you for helping and supporting me at every step of the way.

I know that the role of senior engineer will require more time and a new set of skills, but I feel I have the qualities required to successfully fulfill the job’s responsibilities. Also, having been with the organization for two years, I am invested in the success of the success and want to be part of seeing it thrive.

Because an eventual promotion will leave my current position vacant, I will help ensure a smooth transition, however I can. Several current employees have worked with me directly and have the potential to take over my job responsibilities, and I would be happy to train them to take over.

Thank you

Regards,

Nuwan Fonseka

Junior engineering manager.
